FAQ

Frequently Ask Questions

You get a permanent fixed denture that looks like natural teeth. Smile without hesitation.

With these new teeth, you can fully chew. You can eat your favorite dishes.
The denture does not need to be removed, as with a removable one.
You don’t need adhesives to hold the denture.
There is no risk of the denture falling out of your mouth.
The denture is comfortable and doesn’t press on the gums.
You don’t need bone grafting before installing 4 implants (in most cases).
Your face becomes more youthful. As a result of the implants and dentures, facial features are restored.

After implantation, it is possible to immediately install a temporary denture. You come to the clinic without teeth, and leave with teeth! In some cases, it is better to install a temporary denture after a few days. Your surgeon will make the best decision depending on the situation.

The full removable denture brings significant discomfort:

  • It can fall off at a crucial moment.
  • It must be removed at night.
  • It can irritate the gums.
  • It is uncomfortable when chewing food.
  • Even the highest-quality removable dentures will not look like your natural teeth.

The All-on-4 method is the best quality/price solution: only 4 implants are placed (bone grafting is not required in this case), and a fixed prosthesis is attached to the implants. You get strong, comfortable, and beautiful teeth – just like in your youth.

As the name suggests, All-on-4 implantation involves a prosthesis supported by 4 implants. While these technologies are similar, there are some key differences:

  • All-on-6 is suitable for patients with severe bone atrophy: 6 implants placed in areas where the bone is in normal condition create reliable support for the All-on-6 prosthesis. However, sometimes bone volume augmentation may be necessary – this will be clarified in a face-to-face consultation with an implantologist.
  • All-on-6 implants are recommended for people over 45, while All-on-4 is an option for older patients. The reason is that the bone tissue at the site of the missing tooth gradually shrinks, and this reduction can only be stopped by implant installation. The more implants, the better the bone remains in shape.
  • All-on-6 implantation creates a stronger base for the prosthesis and the prosthesis lasts longer because the load is distributed across six points instead of four.

Most commonly, the donor tooth is the "wisdom tooth" or a molar. The transplantation of wisdom teeth is the most popular option – after all, the wisdom tooth hardly participates in the chewing process, is difficult to clean, and cavities easily develop on it. Even a retained tooth (i.e., one that hasn't erupted) can be used as a donor.

If everything is done correctly and according to protocol, then no. Cavities can develop if there is a gap between the tooth and the crown. This is the entry point for infection. Microbes accumulate in the crevice, an unpleasant odor appears in this area, and the gums begin to inflame. This will not lead to anything good.

Even healthy teeth, with initially strong enamel, cannot resist poor hygiene, let alone a weakened tooth that has gone through a root canal treatment. Restored teeth need to be cared for more carefully than the "natural" ones. Proper care significantly extends the lifespan of crowns.

Therefore, you should always have small brushes for the space between teeth, a water floss, and a properly chosen toothbrush with paste in your arsenal.

And make sure to have regular professional cleanings at the dentist’s office once every six months.
